audio citizenship test question and answers in spanish??????????
hey everyone, so my dad wants to become a us citizen……. he does not speak english but ha now qualifies to take it in spanish….the thing is that i wanted to find an audio download or something of the questions and answers in spanish of course to put them in a mp3 or cd so he can memorize them faster……do any of you know if there is a place where i can download them for FREE…..if so please let me know…….thank you

English Language Exemptions
You Are Exempt From The English Language Requirement, But Are Still Required To Take The Civics Test If You Are:
* Age 50 or older at the time of filing for naturalization and have lived as a permanent resident (green card holder) in the United States for 20 years (commonly referred to as the “50/20” exception).
OR
* Age 55 or older at the time of filing for naturalization and have lived as a permanent resident in the United States for 15 years (commonly referred to as the “55/15” exception).
Note: Even if you qualify for the “50/20” or “55/15” English language exceptions listed above, you must still take the civics test. You may be permitted to take the civics test in your native language, but only if your command of spoken English is insufficient to conduct a valid examination in English. If you are age 65 or older and have been a permanent resident for at least 20 years at the time of filing for naturalization, you will be given special consideration regarding the civics requirement.
Medical Disability Exceptions to English and Civics
You may be eligible for an exception to the English and civics naturalization requirements if you are unable to comply with these requirements because of a physical or developmental disability or a mental impairment.
To request this exception, submit Form N-648, Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions. This form must be completed by a licensed medical or osteopathic doctor, or licensed clinical psychologist.
Continuous Residence Exceptions
If you are engaged in certain kinds of overseas employment you may be eligible for an exception to the continuous residence requirement. For more information see the link to the right, “Continuous Residence and Physical Presence Requirements for Naturalization.”
Disability Accommodations
Under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, we provide accommodations or modifications for applicants with physical or mental impairments that make it difficult for them to complete the naturalization process. Applicants are encouraged to list their needs in the space provided on Form N-400.”
Learning the German Alphabet
The German alphabet consists of 26 letters, just as the English alphabet does. However, the letters are pronounced differently, which is why every beginner has to learn the alphabet before starting any lessons in the language. There are many similarities between German and English, such as in the use of the letter /q/. It is only used with /u/ as in words that have /qu/ in them. Even though the letter /x/ has basically the same sound as it does in English, words with this sound are usually written with the letters /chs/ or /cks/.
The alphabet is very easy to learn when you learn German because the letters have similar sounds to those in English. B has exactly the same sound when it occurs at the beginning or a word, but it sounds like P when it occurs at the end of a word. C has five different sounds in German depending on its position in a word. There are few words that begin with this letter in the language.
The following examples will give you an idea of the different pronunciations:
- Caser ?c sounds like /ts/
- Chaos ?c has a /k/ sound
- Chance ?c has the sound of /sh/
- Check ?c sounds like /ch/
- China ?the /h/ sound of the word is heavily pronounced
The sound of in German words is very guttural and pronounced far back in the throat. In words that contain the stress on the /h/ sound is very heavy. When you pronounce words that begin with /D/, the sound of this letter is the same as English. However, when the letter occurs at the end of a word, it has the sound of /t/. /H/ is another letter that has the same sound in both English and German. However, when this letter is followed by a vowel, it is silent and is not pronounced at all. When you pronounce words containing the letter /r/, you make a gargled sound. /S/ sounds almost like /z/.
There is another letter in the German language that is not included in the alphabet. This is /B/, but it is not written as a standard B. It is more rounded and has the sound of a double ss. This letter never occurs at the beginning of a word. You will find in the middle of words and there is only one form of the letter, which makes it look as if there is an upper case letter in the middle of a word.
Take time to practice saying all the letters of the alphabet and get used to saying words that contain these letters. When you take a course in German, you will see the pronunciation of the word written out in English for you, but you should listen to the letters being read by a native German speaker to get a true feel for the correct pronunciation. Then when you do start learning vocabulary words and grammar it will be easier for you to read passages in German correctly.

What are basic ingredients in Chinese restaurant egg rolls?
I’m guessing cabbage, pork, soy sauce, and carrots. What am i missing? Is there egg? I dont want off the wall ingredients.. just basics.
Well the meat really does vary , it is not necessarily pork , but the following are flagship standards in any egg roll :
Nappa cabbage , shredded
shredded carrot
bean sprouts
diced green onion
I have also seen shredded green and or small amounts of purple as well
What do I have to do to be able to watch German DVD’s in the US?
It’s really bugging me that they put that region code on the DVDs! I’m German and I’d like my kids to watch German movies to better learn my language.
Does anyone have an idea how to get around the region code?

Goto ebay or amazon.com and search for a “region free dvd player” You’ll have several good brands pop up starting at about $30.00 + freight. I bought mine that way and it has been working great for years. If you would like, I can let you know the seller’s info. I’m from Germany and play German DVD’s for my daughter all the time.
